POSTING 6: KU LEIGH’S (QUITE DEFINITIVE) COMMENTAR ON THE ACTUAL STATE OF TUANKU ISMAIL PETRA’S HEALTH

It was already out in yesterday’s (Monday, April 12, 2010’s) newspapers: Ku Leigh telling the whole world that Tuanku Ismail Petra is still not fit to rule our beloved Kelantan. Not that we at the Kelantan Insider are glad about it: We in fact are saddened by that as it is our sincere wish that Tuanku Ismail Petra will be able to recover at the soonest.

We are in total agreement with Ku Leigh that Tuanku Ismail Petra will eventually recover, but, till then, let there be no claim of him already being fit and let there be no effort to ‘prove’ him already being fit: Just let Tuanku Ismail Petra be treated naturally, peacefully and uninterruptedly.

There is little doubt about it and there is little need for anyone to remind him of it: The Regent of Kelantan, Tengku Muhammad Faris Petra, will, on his own accord, relinquish his post to his beloved father if and when Tuanku Ismail Petra is certified to be fully fit by the respective authorities.

We at the Kelantan Insider would like to use this opportunity to remind every reporter and every editor of all mainstream newspapers to be more responsible in that they should make sure inaccurate news would not be published (unless if they have any hidden agenda of their own). Take, for instance, yesterday’s (Monday, April 12, 2010’s) reports on what Ku Leigh said a day earlier.

Let us first see what the supposedly most reliable news organization in our country had to say about it. Bernama, in its report entitled “Tengku Razaleigh tidak anggap konflik dalam Istana Kelantan”, quoted Ku Leigh as saying: “Ia bukan suatu konflik dalam istana. Tunggulah dia sihat dulu”.

Then, we move on to Berita Harian, which, in its report entitled “Tengku Razaleigh tidak masuk campur isu istana”, quoted Ku Leigh as saying: “Kalau ada konflik, tentu akan timbul perkara baru dan kalau ada perkara baru, serah pada Tuanku (Sultan Kelantan) apabila baginda sembuh nanti”.

Utusan Malaysia comes next.

We next go to the New Straits Times. In its report entitled “Sultan of Kelantan back to power soon”, it wrote: “Gua Musang Member of Parliament, Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah, is confident that the Sultan of Kelantan, Tuanku Ismail Petra Yahya Petra, will recover from his illness”. It also wrote: “Asked if the Regent would step down if the Sultan recovered, he said it would be decided by the Sultan when the time came.”

Finally, it is the Star. It had as its first page’s highlight “Step down, acting ruler told”. It had as its title “Step down, says Ku Li”. It had as its subtitle “Acting Kelantan Sultan ‘must relinquish post to his father’”. In its report, it wrote: “Acting Kelantan Sultan, Tengku Muhammad Faris Petra Sultan Ismail Petra, should relinquish his post to his father as soon as the Sultan recovered from his ailment, said Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah”. It also wrote: “The Gua Musang Member of Parliament, who is a member of the Kelantan royalty, said, when the Sultan recovered and was able to assume his duties, he would decide whether to allow Tengku Muhammad Faris to continue ruling the state in an acting capacity”. Ku Leigh himself was quoted as saying: “I believe the Sultan will recover”.

Go figure out for yourself which are accurate and which are inaccurate reports.

Let us just put aside “Sultan of Kelantan back to power soon” (“Sultan Kelantan kembali berkuasa tidak lama lagi”) though we at the Kelantan Insider still wonder where did this “soon” (“tidak lama lagi”) come from.

But, come on, “Step down, acting ruler told”, “Step down, says Ku Li”, “Acting Kelantan Sultan ‘must relinquish post to his father’” (“Berundur, Pemangku Raja diberitahu”, “Berundur, kata Ku Li”, “Pemangku Raja Kelantan mesti serah jawatan kepada ayahanda baginda”)?

Something just does not sound quite right in our ears.

POSTING 4: THE TENGKU TEMENGGONG OF KELANTAN’S COMMITMENT IN ‘HELPING’ THE POORS

After revealing something which, to some rakyat, is very shocking about him in yesterday’s posting, today, which happens to be a Sunday, we at the Kelantan Insider feel a bit overwhelmed by this sudden urge to write something which is really ‘positive’ about, and hence do some justice to, our Tengku Temenggong of Kelantan, Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Petra.

Well, to be frank, Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Petra is neither that bad nor that greedy as many of the rakyat think. He does, in fact, care about the fate of unfortunate ones. As its proof, we produce here a few letters written by him showing how dedicated he is in assisting the Kelantan State Government ‘helping’ the poors. If you think we are kidding, you just read those letters and find for yourself the sign of this philantrophic side of him in them: From the phrase “demi kepentingan seluruh rakyat miskin dalam negeri Kelantan” to the phrase “melibatkan kepentingan rakyat miskin” and to the phrase “untuk memanfaat rakyat miskin negeri Kelantan”.

If you are more observant, you can as well notice that, in order to convince those state government agencies of this noble intention of his, there can also be found everywhere in those letters the phrases indicative of both the blessing and the support that Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Petra has from his daddy: From “permohonan (syarikat saya) di atas telah pun mendapat ampuni perkenan daripada Ke Bawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Tuanku Al-Sultan…” to “saya dengan restu Ke Bawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Tuanku Al-Sultan…” and to “cadangan ini..telah mendapat ampuni perkenan (Ke Bawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Al-Sultan Kelantan)…”.

With the benevolent Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Petra always being around to help, there is little wonder that the number of the poors in Kelantan is greatly decreasing and that the balding friends of ours, like Dr Nazmi Ghazali Azmi, are slowly getting their hairs back!

POSTING 3: A DOCUMENT SPEAKS A THOUSAND WORDS

Later on, this land was said to have resulted in someone getting more than RM30 million from a Chinese timber towkay (by the name of Ho Chung Meng, who is better known by his nickname, Ah Meng), with the side involved claiming that the deal was properly done while another side claimed that there was no such authorization. We at the Kelantan Insider are always impartial.

POSTING 1: COMMENTAR ON TUANKU ISMAIL PETRA’S FIRST PUBLIC APPEARANCE

THE TOP TEN THINGS THAT TUANKU ISMAIL PETRA’S FIRST PUBLIC APPEARANCE AT ISTANA MAHKOTA ON WEDNESDAY, APRIL 7, 2010, MANAGED TO SHOW TO THE PEOPLE

1. The event managed to show to the people that the Raja Perempuan of Kelantan, Tengku Anis, is a queen control who does not respect Tuanku’s rights not only as a Sultan but also as a husband and a human being. In the event, when Tengku Anis asked Tuanku whether Tuanku wanted to sing or not, Tuanku flatly refused by saying it would be difficult for him to do so ("payoh", so said Tuanku). Despite Tuanku’s clear rejection, Tengku Anis however still forced Tuanku to follow her singing three songs (entitled "Kemesraan", "Menghitung Hari" and "My Heart Will Go On"). True to Tuanku’s prediction, he failed to sing the songs despite being guided by Tengku Anis. To prevent this blunder from being captured by the photoghraphers, Tengku Anis had to cover Tuanku’s mouth with a piece of paper containing lyric of the respective song besides telling the people that Tuanku was too shy to sing that day. On the same note, Tengku Anis also forced Tuanku to talk to the reporters but, again, Tuanku miserably failed at that, prompting Tengku Anis to once again tell the people that Tuanku was too shy to talk that day. Now, what kind of wife would have dared to defy her beloved husband’s word (Tuanku clearly did not want to sing and this was reported by newspapers) or to subject him to such a great embarrassment in public?

2. The event managed to show to the people that the Tengku Temenggong of Kelantan, Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Petra, is a mere one man-show who does not even have the support of any of his siblings, let alone other close family members, in all of his actions which were purportedly made in the name of Tuanku. The absence of both his elder brother, the Tengku Bendahara of Kelantan, Tengku Muhammad Faiz Petra, and his younger sister, Tengku Amalin Aishah Putri, from the event speaks volumes about the credibility (or the lack of it) of Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Petra in the eyes of his family members. From this, it is also evident that the Regent of Kelantan, Tengku Muhammad Faris Petra, in actual fact has the solid support of his family members, including Tengku Muhammad Faiz Petra and Tengku Amalin Aishah Putri.

3. The event managed to show to the people that the Tengku Temenggong of Kelantan, Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Petra, is indeed a very big liar. In the event, when asked by the reporters about the state of Tuanku’s actual health, Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Petra gladly told them that Tuanku was already fit, citing Tuanku being driven around the town, with the latest being driven to and from Pasir Mas, as a proof of Tuanku’s fitness. To cap it all, Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Petra had the nerve to tell those reporters that Tuanku would soon be able to drive his own car, which spontaneously drew them their laughters for only minutes before they already saw how Tuanku could not move his body, let alone move his hands and feets, on his own!

4. The event managed to show to the people that the Raja Perempuan of Kelantan, Tengku Anis, and the Tengku Temenggong of Kelantan, Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Petra, are not pious or religious individuals. For one thing, even when Tuanku is not that sick, they are still supposed to grace and end any event that they hold by reciting doa selamat in accordance with Islamic injunction, what more when Tuanku is sick which requires them to be more sensitive to his need, but this unfortunately was not done. For another, programs in the event were either full of maksiat or just lagho (melalaikan), the most obvious one was the program involving two scantily-clad’s women showing their expertise in performing magic to the crowd. With this sort of program, it is no wonder that our doa would not be fulfilled by our Creator!

5. The event managed to show to the people how unscrupulous the Raja Perempuan of Kelantan, Tengku Anis, and the Tengku Temenggong of Kelantan, Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Petra, are in exploiting the mass media. To cover the event, Tengku Anis and Tengku Muhammad Fakhry invited only selected reporters from Kuala Lumpur while local reporters, whom they found hard to trust, were completely sidelined, with one newspaper (Sinar Harian) was even banned from it (the newspaper’s representatives, to their credit, however still found their way to the event). To cap it all, all those reporters who wrote and published favorable news to them were specially praised by Tengku Anis herself. It is no wonder that such false and misleading stories like Tuanku singing or uttering a complete sentence in the event still appeared in a few of these newspapers whereas in real fact none of it did happen!

6. The event managed to show to the people that the Raja Perempuan of Kelantan, Tengku Anis, is the one who would like herself to be surrounded by the Thais instead of by her own native Kelantanese. Her preference for the Thais is evident in the predominance of those Thais in organizing, emceeing, entertaining and what-not of the event. It is no wonder that a few Kelantanese were heard saying that being there made them feel like being in Thailand instead of being in Kelantan!

7. The event managed to show to the people that Tuanku’s aide-de-camp, one Mejar Zahari, is indeed a very big liar. In the event, he told reporters that Tuanku dictated to the Menteri Besar, Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat, and his EXCOs (when they came to visit Tuanku) that he was already fit, capable of ruling the State and would take back the powers that he bestowed upon the Regent of Kelantan, Tengku Muhammad Faris Petra, and that this dictation of Tuanku was recorded by him. Imagine how surprised a few of those reporters were to witness how hard it was for Tuanku to utter even a simple word, let alone to utter a complete sentence!

8. The event managed to show to the people that the Raja Perempuan of Kelantan, Tengku Anis, and the Tengku Temenggong of Kelantan, Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Petra, are insincere about the state of Tuanku’s actual health. If they have nothing to hide, why did they use a mere therapist, instead of a real medical expert or, even better, a panel of real medical experts, to explain Tuanku’s health to the people? Even then, that therapist did not even dare to announce that Tuanku is fit and, in contrast to what Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Petra claimed, only described Tuanku being brought around the town as only a part of the treatment's process!

9. The event managed to show to the people that there are a few PAS leaders who dared to break from the party’s rank by siding with the Raja Perempuan of Kelantan, Tengku Anis, and the Tengku Temenggong of Kelantan, Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Petra, whereas PAS’ official stand, as announced now and then by the Menteri Besar, Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat, is to only recognize the Regent of Kelantan, Tengku Muhammad Faris Petra. Two instances of these leaders who were seen attending the event to show their strong support for Tengku Anis and Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Petra were PAS’ Senator, Ahmad Ruseli Ibrahim, and National PAS Supporters Club’s Chairman, Hu Pang Chaw. An audience was heard wondering loudly what PAS will do to them!

10. The event managed to show to the people how unscrupulous the Raja Perempuan of Kelantan, Tengku Anis, and the Tengku Temenggong of Kelantan, Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Petra, are in exploiting Tuanku for their own interest. Many in the audiences were heard saying how the whole thing was carefully orchestrated by Tengku Anis and Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Petra to show to the people that Tuanku is already fit and capable of ruling the State. The tragedy is that what was supposed to be a great public relations’ exercise turned out to be an exercise in futility. It not only failed but also badly backfired and ended disastrously with the people coming out of the event were more convinced that Tuanku is still unfit than before coming in after seeing Tuanku having difficulty to utter even a simple word, let alone to utter a complete sentence. The event even has the potential to be used by the lawyers of Tuanku’s second wife, Cik Puan Elia Suhana Ahmad, as a solid proof that she was indeed a mere victim of a certain conspiracy to separate her from Tuanku!
